A reading list often lives in several places: a book in Files, a PDF in a download folder, and articles saved in browser tabs. Nimbus brings supported reading material into one library on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Start with a supported file
Nimbus supports EPUB, PDF, TXT, and HTML files, plus pasted text and web links. Use DRM-free files that you have the right to read. Books protected by DRM cannot be imported.
EPUB is designed for text that can flow to fit the screen. PDFs preserve a page layout, so the reading experience can depend on how the document was created. If a file fails to import, contact support with the file type and a description of the problem.
Import from the Library
- Open the Library tab in Nimbus.
- Choose the import option.
- Select a file from the Files app, paste text, or add a web link.
- Open the imported item and choose how you want to read.
Choose a comfortable reading mode
Read normally when you want to linger over a passage. Try speed mode when a steady rhythm suits the text. You can adjust the words-per-minute pace and chunk size from the reading controls.
Start with a short, familiar passage. Pause to check what you understood, and slow down for difficult material.
Return to your place
Nimbus tracks reading progress so you can pick up where you left off. Cloud sync is available with Pro: sign in with the same account on each device to sync your library and progress.
